Shot on the 200th Anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, veteran style writer-director Larry Fessenden brings his distinctive imaginative and prescient of the literary basic in Wicked, set in trendy Brooklyn. This meditative reimagining of the novel explores the disaster of masculinity and concepts about loneliness, reminiscence and the refined psychological shocks that form us as people.

Alex (Owen Campbell) leaves his girlfriend Lucy (Chloë Levine) after an emotional night time, strolling the streets alone to get dwelling. From out of nowhere, he’s stabbed in a frenzied assault, with the life draining out of him. He awakes to search out he’s the mind in a physique he doesn’t acknowledge. This creature, Adam (Alex Breaux), has been introduced into consciousness by Henry (David Name), an excellent discipline surgeon affected by PTSD after two excursions within the Mideast, and his confederate Polidori (Joshua Leonard), a predator decided to money in on the experiment that introduced Adam to life. Henry is more and more consumed with regret over what he’s performed and when Adam lastly discovers a video documenting his personal origin, he goes on a rampage that reverberates via the group and tragedy befalls all of them.

The movie is written and directed by Larry Fessenden and produced by Fessenden alongside Chadd Harbold and Jenn Wexler.

Wicked may have its World Premiere because the opening night time movie of What the Fest!? on the IFC Middle in New York Metropolis this coming Wednesday, March 20 at 7pm.
