An MTA maintenance worker has been busted in last week’s road-rage killing of a city jail guard, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Sunday.

Gifford Hunter, 30 — who works at the transit agency’s Gun Hill Bus Depot in The Bronx — shot Rikers guard and aspiring NYPD cop Jonathan Narain, 27, in the head at the corner of 120th Street and 103rd Avenue in Queens early Friday, authorities said

Police followed surveillance video of Hunter riding his motorcycle from the scene back to his home in Jamaica, Queens, to nail him, sources said.

Hunter was arrested Sunday and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to sources.
