Suspect in custody after violent purse snatching involving mother and younger daughter


SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — A suspect in a violent purse snatching involving a mother and her younger daughter, that was caught on digicam, is now in custody.

San Jose police say Pablo Cabrera is the person seen strolling within the video taken by a surveillance digicam at a constructing on Towers Lane on Could 6.

The sufferer and her daughter are seen within the video strolling up a set of stairs, when a person approaches them from behind, grabs the lady’s purse, and pulls her and the kid all the way down to the sidewalk beneath.

San Jose police say they recognized the suspect as Cabrera primarily based on his description, automobile, and technique of operation and have been in a position to hyperlink him to different robberies.

Members of the division’s Covert Response Unit arrested Cabrera at his residence in San Jose on Saturday, Could 11. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for theft and parole violation.

Police say detectives positioned extra proof in Cabrera’s house, linking him to different robberies.

Investigators say the entire victims have been Asian females carrying costly purses.
